Let’s Get Accurate –Christmas and Hits on the Blog

Ok, I have been taken to task by a reader of the blog that my posting on hitting “a quarter of a million” and then indicating that the counter showed 226,000 was not equal to a quarter of a million. She’s right…but it actually has hit the 1/4 million mark and I will admit I may have been a little too enthusiastic posting before it actually hit…

The same reader took me to task for sending out an e-invite that had a header: Merry Christmas from Councilwoman Gerrie Schipske and then went on to  give details about the upcoming tree lightings on December 8th and 9th in the 5th District.

On this I was very accurate. On December 8th we are lighting a “Christmas tree” in front of the El Dorado Senior Center and Santa Claus is coming and then we are watching a “Christmas Carol.”

On December 9th we are doing a similar event at the Heartwell Park pond area. There we are watching “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”

The reader took me to task for not being politically correct and instead said I should have sent out a “Happy Holidays” notice.

Sorry, but these events are centered around Christmas trees, Santa Claus and Christmas movies and helping the LB Firefighters collect “Christmas toys” for needy families.

So again, Merry Christmas.
